Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by SkillBase Labs (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2025/841182/07) (“SkillBase Labs,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By registering for or participating in any workshop, training, data service, or recreational shooting session, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services Provided

SkillBase Labs offers:

• Practical laboratory workshops and training

• Personalised skill-building sessions and data services

• Method development and validation support

• Supervised recreational firearm shooting sessions (non-professional, for recreational purposes only, with mandatory safety briefing)

3. Bookings and Payments

• Bookings are confirmed once payment or official proof of payment has been received.

• All pricing is stated in South African Rand (ZAR).

• Payments must be made by the due date indicated on the invoice.

• Failure to pay may result in automatic cancellation of your booking.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellations made 5 or more days before the event: 100% refund.

• Cancellations made less than 5 days before the event: 50% refund.

• No refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of the event or for no-shows.

• SkillBase Labs reserves the right to postpone or cancel a workshop or shooting session due to operational or safety reasons. In such cases, you may choose a refund or to reschedule.

5. Participant Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate personal information when registering.

• You are expected to conduct yourself professionally and follow all instructions during workshops or training sessions.

• For shooting activities, you must attend the mandatory 1-hour safety briefing before handling any firearm.

• Failure to comply with safety or operational instructions may result in immediate removal without refund.

6. Safety and Liability

• All activities are conducted under controlled conditions with appropriate supervision.

• SkillBase Labs is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from failure to follow instructions or from reckless or unsafe behaviour.

• Participants in shooting sessions must comply with all applicable firearm safety rules and South African firearm regulations.

7. Intellectual Property

All training materials, manuals, presentations, data tools, and other content provided remain the intellectual property of SkillBase Labs. They may not be copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

8. Personal Information and POPIA Compliance

All personal information collected is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By registering for services, you consent to the collection and use of your data for operational purposes.

9. Amendments

SkillBase Labs may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
